We need to create free sample for customers.
Also we need to create bonus, for example a customer buy 10 unit of a product and we give to customer a extra free product.
@arunml Whether it is possible to post to a different COGS for samples distributed?
Therefore the Delivery step would create the usual Journal Entry of Debit COGS + Credit Inventory
Thanks,

Good Afternoon Oscar,
Did you manage to solve this issue and how?
We have the same problem now , and we are struggling how to post VAT to the company which is giving the free sample to a customer.

Roman

Hello Oscar,
Please go through the below approach to sell free items to customers.
-> You can create your Employees as Customers --> Create a Sales Order with 100% Discount --> Process the Outbound Delivery. Option
-> You can create a Dummy Warehouse and can create your Employees as different Logistics Areas --> Create a Stock Transfer Order --> Process it.
-> You may create a Delivery document and give a 100% discount. This way the customer gets to see that you incur a cost and are giving it for free. Also, in SAP inventory for this item will get deducted.
-> Another way is to simply create the delivery and enter 0 for price. Very similar effect but the customer does not see the value of the Item
-> You can create a Samples Warehouse and move items to that warehouse and delivery from there. Any Item being shipped involved a Cost. Therefore the Delivery step would create the usual Journal Entry of Debit COGS + Credit Inventory So, in the P&L you will have a Cost for all these sample Items without any Revenue since you are not Invoicing them.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Arun
