custom email notification to a sales quote approver

Hi Experts.

I have the requirement to send custom email notifications to approvers of sales quote (custom mails means that standar notifications does not work, so i´ve unchecked the question "Do you want to notify business users using e-mail without additional subcription about business task management" and created a new work flow rule).

I´ve configured a work flow rule which determination is set to "Custom Defined Involved Party Approver" and "Involved Party Approver", but it only works if i add manually the aprovver to the sales quote involved parties.

So my questions are:

1. Is there any way for my work flow rule determine the actual approver without the need of add the approver to the sales quote? or

2. Is there any way to do that the sales quote automatically add the approver role to the involved parties and determine the approver according to the approval process configured?
