I have a questions around reverse replication into MDG HUB .
We have MDG HUB running on S/4 instance and we have ECC as a target system . Customer contact person is updated /created or deleted on MDG HUB by a Business user OR Customer contact person can be updated , created or deleted in our ECC instances via external interfaces Proxy call .
We are trying to design a solution where customer contact person can have two source - MDG HUB and ECC . if in ECC , how do we reverse ALE to MDG HUB ? Does SAP MDG have any out of the box replication method for changes to specific fields to be sent to MDG HUB ?
Contact Person created in MDG -----> ECC
Contact Person created in ECC -------> MDG ( avoid any snapshot issue with existing CR)
I am sure with MDG as SAP MDM soultion this feature should be available . Please advise .
Hi,
From MDG Hub to ECC we can use DRFOUT replication framework.
From ECC to MDG hub we have below options.
Since you are using S4HANA use SDI and do real-time replication to Consolidation source table from ECC. use appropriate ECC DB agent by activating change pointers in DB Level.
then with help of Consolidation process create CR and post data in MDG HUB.
Otherwise use BODS and post data into Consolidation source table OR post via idoc from bods.
Otherwise use webservice and create CR
Otherwise trigger RFC from ECC and create CR in MDG Hub by triggering WF event of customer business object or change documents based event Whenever customer data is changed in ECC.
Otherwise you can also use data remediation process
