Hi,
I'm trying to configure EWA via solman for an ECC 6.0 system on MS SQL 2005.
I've completed all the necessary steps i.e. all the RFC's are working fine, RTCCTOLL is ok, the report is getting generated in SDCCN on the satellite system...however it doesnt seem to get transfered to solman.
RSCOLL00 gives a weird "database system not supported " message although it shows finished successfully.
Is there some other program for SQL Server or maybe something that I'm missing...
Pls. help.
Thanks a lot,
Saba.
The message in the job log "Database system not supported"
is usually caused by RSDB_DAILY and RSDB_HOURLY report.
Just remove it from the TCOLL table.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.I've checked this note.
I found this note 1251966 which says that the message can be ignored.
If the job is OK what else could be missing:(
Is there something extra/different that you need to do while configuring EWA for SQL ..(I've done it before for Oracle & have followed the same steps).
Thanks,
Saba.
Hi Saba,
it's difficult to interpret what you mean by "it doesnt seem to get transfered to solman."
Do you mean that there is some problem sending EWA data to the Solution Manager (like with an RFC connection)? Do you see EWA for Solution Manager sessions in SDCCN in the satellite system?
You have to try to figure out whether the problem is that the satellite system is not finding EWA in the Solution Manager or if it isn't sending EWA data to the Solution Manager.
best regards,
-David.
Hi Saba,
does an error occur during transfer from satellite system to Solution Manager? Can you see any error in the SDCCN log? Have you compared the session numbers in Solution Manager and in SDCCN in the satellite system to be sure that the satellite really is sending data with the correct session number to the Solution Manager?
best regards,
-David.
Hi David,
Thanks so much for the reply.
The session nos. do not match. The ns. generated in SDCCN do not propogate to solman.
Solman shows a different list of sessions altogether.
When I schedule an EWA session in SDCCN, the RFC that needs to be provided should be the BACK solman RFC, however this RFC does not appear in the F4 list.
All I can see is SDCC_OSS (which would send data to service marketplace) & NONE.
Could this be why my reports are not getting transfered?
Thanks a lot for you patience,
Saba.
Hi Saba,
you can't schedule EWA for Solution manager sessions in SDCCN of the satellite. The only kind you can schedule in the satellite is the kind you send directly to SAP, that's why SDCC_OSS appears as the RFC connetion. You have to fetch EWA for Solution Manager sessions from the solution manager using a refresh sessions task. Does anything happen when you perform a refresh sessions task in SDCCN on the satellite (when you pick the RFC to Solution Manager as the destination)?
You should also check that the service definitions are current in both satellite and solution manager systems. Note 727998 explains how to delete and replace them. (Often the only way of being totally sure that the service defintions are correct.)
best regards,
-David.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply...
The session refresh task & service definitions are both running fine.
I've compared my system to another one where EWA works.
The only difference is that in SDCCN of the satellite system, Creat offers an option to create a task "EWA For SolutionManager".
Thsi particular option is not available in my system.
ST-PI & ST-API are the latest.
Thanks,
Saba.
