Hi Friends,
I have configured the all asset accounting.Suppose when I am purchasing asset on 01.11.2008.System shuld be calculated on purchasing date. but when I am seeing in Aw01n asset explorer in Posted Values tab, system showing all the year depreciation divided into period wise. But my client requirement is it should be from 01.11.2008 to 31.03.2009.
The another thing is in asset accounting 180 days. If suppose we are using asset below 180 days, the depreciation is half year.If more than 180 days dep is full year.
So can any body plz help me out for above two issues.Reply will appreciated with points.
Thanks
Amar

the period control in depreciation key for acquisition should be "pro rata period start date" .
The system will take the first day of the period in which value date falls to arrive depreciation start date from.

Hi
Please check the Depreciation start date in the depreciation tab in asset master record. As per your query, the depreciation start date in the asset master record is 1st April 2008 (your FY is from april-march ), that's why the sysem is showing planned depreciation from Aprli 2008 to March 2009.
The above depends upon the period control method in the depreciation key. Please select 01 for acquisition in period control method ( T. Code AFAMP ).
This will solve your problem.
Otherwise, go to AS02 and change the depreciatuion start date to 01/11/08.
