Hi,
This question is about the icon "APO Resource" in capacity header of a work center in ECC. The documentation says "You can maintain additional data for APO resources in the SAP ECC work center directly (press the APO Resource pushbutton in the work center capacity header)."
We are in ECC 6.0. My issue is I don't see this icon any where in work center (CR03).
Where can I find this icon in ECC 6.0?
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
In SPRO, go to CIF related settings,
Go to
Basic settings for data transfer- change transfer-change transfer for transaction data --- Activate on line transfer using BTE.
In the table that appears, there is an entry ND-APO and NDI. There should be tick against both these entries.
You will get the APO resource button.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies and sorry for the late reply. Nitin, I checked the configuration and I see the ND-APO and NDI checked. Still I don't see the APO Resource button in ECC resource. is there something I am missing?
Also this is in our production system that we have been using from a long time....This is just my question...nothing really effecting the current system.
Hi Prasad,
But doesn't that make all the resources maintenance only in R/3? What if I want to make some external resources ( maintainable only in R/3) and other not (maintainable in APO)? I am not experienced but...do we have resources setup like that or is it usually all external or all not external resources?
Hi Raj,
We will take it one at a time, your question was to have APO button is it visible now? I actually dont know what is your business requirement.. you can elaborate on it..
talking about maintaining resource in R/3 as well in APO.
yes this extra button allow you to maintain data which is more over only related to APO capacity and i dont know maintaining it in R/3 has any impact in R/3..(Any PP experts can differ if it impacts).
Regds,
Prasad
Hi Raj G
The APO button should appear right side of menu in capacity header area.
If you cannot find it, please try following.
In OK code area (where you put transaction code normally), put OK code "APO".
If this does not work, I guess OK code APO is not activated in your system.
In older release, there is a problem on this button. So you have to do manual activatation
like described in SAP Note 751659 . I guess in ECC6.0, there are same issue.
So I assume you have to do similar operation.
At the momenet, Above note does not include ECC6.0. So I recommend you to open
customer message via service market place and ask SAP support to check your issue.
Best Regards
keiji
