Excess Components return in maint order

Dear All,

How to return the xcess components in maintenance order.In my scenario I hav assigned Bearing 2 nos in Order component tab,and i have also issued the same against the maintenance order.But while executing I consumed only 1 bearing.Now how to return the one more bearing.Can anybody pls suggest.

hi

in the maintenane order specify the material with -ve quantity ,and use MB1A ,mvt type 261 and return back to stores

Thanks for reply.Where I have to give the negative quantity? Whether in Maintenance order Component TAB or In Completion confirmation Screen there will be Goods movement data .Pls clarify me where I have to give.

As per me in completion confirmation screen we have goods movement data where we enter our excess component in Qty with a movement type 262.But even after doing that actual component cost in order is not reducing?

Could u clarify me

hi

in the order components tab put the material no with negative qty and do the goods return ,

or

cancel the material document done before ,make the qty adjustment in the order and do the fresh GI

You are right.But I think we also have the option in Completion confirmation screen in Goods movement data where we can enter the excess quantity ith the movement type 262.But currently am not able to do that ? is there any setting missing?

You can do thro IW 42 . In goods movement screen put the materail no, qty and 262 movement type with storage location. After the save the material documents will be generated it means finally you are reversed to your ware house. The Reservation will not help for 262 movement

Thanks thenna,I have tried using IW42.Its working fine.But I think there is also equal possibility to return the excess components in IW41 rite?

Arun,

I'm not at a system right now so I can't check, but try putting a -ve amount in the IW41 screens..

Maybe the program is clever enough to know that this is a 262???

in IW41 also you can specify the material ,qty and movement type 262 for returning the material back to stores,what is the problem you are facing

I tried entering negative quantity in Goods movement TAB,but th systm is giving error message as "Specify Positive values only".

I tried your solution earlier but the problem is, Actual cost of the component is not getting adjusted.Anyhow I tried it again now,Its orking fine.
