business are clearing

Dear Guru's,

I need help, In my client place SAP version is 4.7, from 2005 onwards they doing business are cleaing (F.5d, F.5e, F.5f), they are stoped in june, 2007, there business are wise balace sheet was not tallied.

i cheked all the entries which was posted in before from 2006 i found some entries posted with one run identification no., in the next run some entries reversed which is posted earlier, but reversed check box not marked as a reversed entry posted. I cheked patches of logistics and accounting patchlevel is 27.

sap suggested patch level 29 update to run the business area clearing. now we are updating patchlevel 28 and 29 (SAP_APPL - SAPKH47028 and SAP_APPL - SAPKH47029). if we update this patch updation what impact will be the logistic side and accounting side. After updation what activities we have to do.
