Error during IS_SELECT phase of CU&UC upgrade

Hi,

We are completing a Combined Upgrade / Unicode Conversion from ECC 5.0

to ERP 6.0. We are using the SR3 release of the upgrade and we

included the upgrade correction package (ERP2005SR3_5-20000914.SAR)

in /usr/sap/put. In the IS_SELECT phase of PREPARE we are receiving

the following error message:

SEVERE ERROR: Structure overflow

u2018118u2019 (nrAddOns) > u2018100u2019 (MAXDECISIONS)

(function: R3upInitDecCtrlAddon)

Prior to starting PREPARE, we installed the lastest ECC 5.0 HR support

packs (level 52). Now instead of 2 components for HR in system status

(SAP_HR and EA-HR), there are now over 70. The total number of

components in System -> Status is over 100. Based on the error message

above, I am guessing we have more components/add-ons installed than the

upgrade can handle. Is this correct, or does the error message mean

something else? How do we get past this error?

Did you also update the SAPup to the latest level?

Hi Markus,

Thanks very much for your suggestion and your quick response. We had download and applied an updated version of SAPup, but an even later version of the patch has been made available since we downloaded it. Per the documentation for the later version, it contains a fix for the number of add-ons. I downloaded the patch (along with the most recent upgrade correction package for good measure), reset PREPARE, and then restarted it. I am past the error.
