My customer (on 2005A SP01 PL 30) is frequently unable to save updated sales quotations. Here are the steps they are taking:
Create a Sales Quotation, and add successfully.
Later reopen quote and update the by adding an additional row for another item.
Then click update
Although the Sales Quotation should be updated, it is unchanged and instead the following error messages is displayed:
"Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'DocEntry' " and the document is not updated.
I searched the portal and found Note 1139134, which says issue will be resolved by upgrading to PL 35. That note appears to address the issue, but my client is not changing the sales employee as described in the note. They are simply adding a row and trying to save.
lLso checked Note 1249795, but users already have full authorization to 'sales employee update'.
Will upgrading to PL 35 address this problem even though the sales employee is not changed?
