Hi,
While using MM-SUS or MM-EBP scenarios when to use XI and when RFC.
What is the difference in using XI or RFC.
Thanks,
Manu
Hi Manu
There are two landscapes one is MM-SUS another one is EBP-SUS
SUS-EBP Scenario

SUS-MM Scenario
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/39/0f343e47fd6b2ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm
we use XI in MM-SUS because for security reasons and Message (document flow) happens from one system ) to another.Supplier system is different from the purchase system..
RFC is Remote function call which calls the routine in the partner system between two systems

1. In SUS there are two scenario one is MM_SUS and another one is EBP-SUS.
Procurement of Services and Indirect Materials (SUS EBP) and Procurement of Direct Materials (SUS MM) scenarios.
MM-SUS requires XI for exchanging data and documents.

2.XI is exchange interface .It is one of the middleware broker between two different systems.
Procurement of Direct Materials (SUS MM) scenarios
RFC- Remote function call.
Remote Function Call (RFC) is the standard SAP interface for communication between SAP systems
