Dear All,

There are different time out settings which we maintain while working on Syclo Mobile applications. Can anyone please explain the difference between these settings:

I have list out the time out/Idle settings used through out the application, I am little confused hence wanted a clear understanding.

1. Agentry Editor: Application Security: Idle Time out :

2. SMP Server: Application Specific settings: Keep Alive Delta

3. SMP Server : Application Specific Settings : Inactive Time out

4. Agentry Config panel in backend : Outbound Trigger: Minimum connection time ( in sec)

Kindly share your opinion in this.

Thanks and Regards

#1 - This is an inactivity timeout on the client where if the user is inactive for that period of time before the application can be used further the user must re-enter their password to unlock the application. This is very similar to the lock timeouts on your phone but at the Agentry application level.

#2 - I will need to check on a couple of things here and will post a followup later.

#3 - This is for transmit configurations that are set to stay connected to the SMP server. If there is no activity from the client to the server for this period of time, the server will disconnect the client to free up resources and prevent users from being connected forever.

#4 - You will need to get official clarification from the Work Manager team. That said, outbound triggers are used by the backend to send a push to the SMP server which in turn will send it to the Agentry client. The value highlighted appears to relate to the connection between the backend system and the SMP server.

Hi Neha,

Please also reference this KBA.

2448377 - How does keep alive delta/period and Inactive timeout parameters affect Agentry Server/ Application/ Client - SMP 3.0

Chung
