Will NetWeaver 7.0 be upgrade to Java 5

We currently have a certified business package that runs on NetWeaver 7.0 and earlier using Java 1.4.2.x.

We are migrating this package for the CE 7.1 environment. Our concern is when if ever will NetWeaver 7.0 be upgraded to Java 5?

We are trying to avoid 2 code bases and we had hoped that 7.0 would be updated to be consitent with the 7.1.
