FSCM Credit management - credit horizon

Hello,

We have implemented FSCM - Credit Management and defined a check rule with 6 days of credit horizon.

Total credit limit of the customer is 10,000 as of 11/03/2016 and end day of horizon is 11/09/2016. We were able to create couple of sales orders worth 3000 USD where shipping date was well within horizon. These two sales orders were not blocked and updated the credit exposure.

Now issue comes when we are creating a sales order for more than 10K USD with shipping/delivery date in the future beyond horizon. System is still blocking this sales order saying the limit exceeded in the horizon period. Ideally, the system should not have blocked this sales order.

We are in S/4 HANA 1511. Please let us know if anyone has faced similar issue with the dynamic credit check with credit horizon.

Thanks

Raj

    Hello,

Has anyone faced this issue. I do not understand if the system is looking at overall credit limit even for the sales order items falling outside the horizon what is the point of having a credit horizon.

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Raj

    Raj

Please check if the material availability date on the sales order falls within the horizon period even if the delivery date is outside the horizon period. It is material availability date the determines the inclusion/exclusion of a sales order towards credit exposure calculation based on whether it falls within or outside the credit horizon date.

    Thanks

      Hi Vamsi,

I agree that the system also checks the credit horizon of the material availability. But the sales order item availability is well beyond the horizon date in the schedule line. System is still blocking it.

      Thanks,
      Raj

Here is the resolution suggested by SAP:

    SAP note: 2381344

This note resolved my issues of credit check outside of horizon.

Apologize but the note above did not resolve my issue. Please see my scenario below:

    customer credit limit: 5000 USD

    Overall credit limit utilization: 19%

Credit limit utilization within horizon: 19.0%
    Credit horizon: 10 days
    End of credit horizon: 12/15/2016

    Sales order creation date: 12/05/2016

    Sales order value: 10,000 USD

    Material Availability date: 1/15/2017
    Delivery date: 1/15/2017

As per the note 379007 this delivery and material availability date is outside the horizon and BP did not exceed the credit limit within horizon. But the order still goes on a block. I am not sure if this is correct. As per the note the "if the sales order items lie outside the horizon, they do not increase the consumption". But the order still goes on block.

What is the purpose of credit horizon if the customer cannot exceed overall credit limit even outside the horizon?

Please advise if anyone has been in the same situation.

    Thanks,
    Raj
