I am having master data load failures and am getting the error message:
Attributes of Characteristic XXXXX are locked by terminated change run 396757081
I can see in RSA1->Tools->Apply Hier/Attr Change->Monitor and Start Terminated Jobs that this change run was terminated. I've tried to restart, but it won't complete.
There are no entries in SM12 that are locked.
Is there a place to delete terminated change runs that have infoobjects tied up?
Thanks, Keith J
In the Monitor and Start Terminated Change Runs, what showed up that I had not seen before was a Reset icon. I deactivated an aggregate, went back into the Monitor and Start Terminated Change Runs screen and that option was there. I clicked on it, and the loads were successful after that.

Hi Johnson,
How did you solve this issue? I understand that you used to 'Reset' the status of the Terminated Change Run. But this would potentially make the aggregates unstable right ? I too am facing the same issue now. Attribute change run gets terminated after running for long.
Did you find any workaround / solution later apart from doing a reset of terminated change run ? Your answer would be of really great help to me.
Thanks,
Vijay
I've tried deactivating all the aggregates, and still get the same error message when the load fails.
What processes would I tell Basis to look for on the database level?

I've gone into SM37, back to the beginning of the month, and there are no HACRs running. This just started two days ago, so I know there is nothing previous to 11/1.
Even in the list of change runs in RSA1->Tools->HACR, the list there shows the HACR job in question, that is locking any MD loads, has terminated.
And then when I go into the Monitor for Changed Runs, I see the one that is causing the problem and see where I could restart it, but I have done that 3 times and it always fails. But when I try to go into the individual infopackage in the chain and run the MD that way, it always fails telling me that the attributes are locked by the terminated change run.
Is there no place to delete and change run? I do have the ID of the run causing the problem.

Hi,
Check the job log in SM37 for the failed jobs.
See at which step ot failed.
Most probably an aggregate would have locked it up.you can see the aggeragte name when it got cancelled.
The only way to free is to deactivate the aggregate and activate it again.
and release all the locks from ALEREMOTE in SM12 if any gets created.
then start it again.
Thanks
Ajeet

How long this has been running...In RSA1 -> Tools --> Apply Hier/attribute change run
Check the latest job. Go to SM37 and see the job log for the latest HACR job. Most probably it would be editing the big aggregate!!!
Unless you stop the HACR and reset, you can not load that particular masterdata. If you are interested only in that particular master data, stop the current HACR, reset, load the particular master data and Run HACR only for that particular masterdata. Your master data might be available soon. After this run HACR for rest.
