Dear Experts,
I have a requirement to map safety related equipment like fire extinguishers, fire tenders, hydrants, personal protective suits/equipment etc.
I also need to maintain their allocation to employees /physical location and a minimum quantity required.
I understand that this is related to integration between SAP EHSM/PM/MM, but I do not have a clear understanding on how to map this. Please advice how can I address this in SAP.
Thanks,
Alex
Dear Alex
i would assume this. the handlng of "employee" like informations is done in SAP HR. Here the employee is described (e.g. with skills etc, what is he doing etc.) I am sorry to say. No clue if there is an integration with "SAP PM" etc. or other SAP modules
I would assume this: somehow the worker/employee must be assigned to a "plant/storage location" or may be other object in SAP PM (here more details are available). At least: the employee is assigned to a "cost center" (which then as well has some reference to other SAP objects)
So i have no clue here. I can only explain high level the EHS/EHSM process.

Hello
for PM part. PLant Maintenance is a SAP module used to support the "plant maintenance processes". I have no clue if you would use this module to handle e.g. "fire extinguishers, fire tenders, hydrants,". But it is clear that SAP MM is as well not the right place
SAP EHSM (and the old SAP EHSIH) is designed as (for SAP EHS IH only).
1.) you define a "work area". You assign the work area to a "location".
2.) and you can "assign" informations as "what PPEs" to be used etc.
We are not using EHSM. So no clue about this solution. But the "trick" is the definition of the "location" (according to my experience") and to assign thi slocation to e.g. a "plant", "Storage location" or other SAP objects
