regarding cproject url

hi gurus,

i am facing this problem. not able to login in cproject system.

Logon failed

Note

Logon performed in system IDM .

Logon performed for client 001, user amit , and language EN.

What can I do?

Check that you have entered the client, user, and password correctly.

If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

Please check that the cProjects roles are maintained for your user id.

If the problem doesnt solve then do check with your basis team.

Hi,

as the error message says, you need to use the full domain name: Instead of "ides3:800", you have to use "ides3.<your_company>.com:8000".

Hi,

that's only true for cProjects up to 3.1. For cProjects 4.0 and 4.5, the BSP URL doesn't work any more as the main application then is a Web Dynpro ABAP application. To get the URL for 4.0 and 4.5 see SAP Note 940413.

If the termination type was ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination on the application server ides3_IDM_00 in transaction SM21.

If the termination type was ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can search for more information in the trace file for the work process 1 in transaction ST11 on the application server ides3_IDM_00 . In some situations, you may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes.

Check if ides3 is added in host file with IP address. That would help. We solved it once adding this entry.

Hi Amit,

Can you paste the link you are using to access the cprojects. The error you are getting looks like saying "the URL does not contains complete domain details".

Otherwise check the URL by this method.

Goto se80. You will get object navigator. In dropdown menu below the buttons select BSP application and search for cprojects. Expand controller folder and select root.do and double click on it. In the rightside window a screen will appear. At the bottom of the page you will find an url like "http://host:800x/sap/bc/bsp/sap/cprojects/root.do". Copy that URL and paste in Address bar of browser. Now remove root.do and press enter.

That will URL address of cprojects in your system.

Hi,

Try logging into SAP system for same client, user id n pwd. It will check your userid is existing or not in system. If you are able to login into system, goto SU01 n check whether you have been assigned the cproject roles. Check the URL is saved in SPRO->IMG-> Collaboration Projects->Basic Settings->Define Absolute URL for calling cProjects..Still also you got any error please put screen shot here in the thread

cProject URL is http://host:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects

Check if you are able to access that link. If not, configuration for cProject URL needs to be done in SPRO. If you are able to access, then give a valid user name and password for the client. Then if you logon, you will be able to see the cProjects Home Page. If you are able to access the link but not able to logon, then check with basis team for a valid user account.

Then check logging into SAP system using SAP GUI. There must be some problem with user account only.
