Hi all

Some questions on forecasting

1) When you do forecasting for a material is there a way you can change the forecast in mass like something similar to a planning table?

d) Is there a way you can d/load the forecast for a group of materials on a excel document?

thanks a lot

Hi,

You cannot change individual forecasts on mass, rather the attributes that control the forecast for each material. Pick up forecast errors in MP33 and then from here you copy the materials and re-run the forecast if necessary in MP38. Remember to copy back to the materials.

This is also a difficult process, there is no easy transaction to get it. The best option is to create a query linking PROW (forecast values), PROP (forecast parameters) and MAPR (Material index for forecast). You can then download individual forecasts on mass.

Hope that helps,

Thanks.

thanks a lot for the answer. When I execute forecasting via MM02 I can see what my 'basic value', MAD, trend value etc for the executed forecast. Also I can view a graph. Is there a way I can run a report which tells me material by material what the forecast statistics are instead of going into MM02 for each material and also a place where I can view the forecast graph

thanks a lot

Hi,

Good question. I have hunted around for the exact kind of information myself many times, rather than as you say looking at each material one by one.

I suspect the answer is no as I have never been able to find anything. I think the issue is the fact that this data is not table dependant, ie. it is created by the program (execute the forecast) and can change each time.

I will keep looking as I agree it would be very useful.

Thanks.
