Activate SU for a existing WM

Hello!!!

I have some questions regarding the following request:

Actually we are using the concept of WM. and is required to enable the Storage Unit functionallity.

What portion of the configuration should I take care?

What happend with the existing records as WM?

Do I need to change my layouts to print the SU number?

Hi,

To have storage unit management (SUM) in place you need to activate warehouse for SUM.

1.First you have to activate at LE-WM-Master data-Define control parameters for warehouse number.

2.You have to activate SUM in storage types as well as SUT check active.

3.You have to do customisation of Storage units under WM.

4.You have to maintain search strategy for these respective storage types.

5.Also maintain palletization data in MMR.

I have to think @ present stock.About printing the SU ,there should not be big problem

Hi! I have the same doubt; I've made the entire necessary configuration but now I Have the problem of the existing stock. How can I manage it? A) Move stock from the storage type to an interim storage type; B) Change customizing; C) Return stock to the origin bins??? How? Because in one bin I have one HU with more than one material.

I really appreciate your help!
