Hi experts,
A customer has requested that when a Sales Quotation is created, they can control if this Sales Quotation generates a Sales Order or a Contract or other document types (only one doc. type at a time).
Is there a way to control this functionally?
Example: I made a Sales Quotation and I need it to specifically generate a Sales Order. A colleague picked up my quotation by mistake and has created a Contract with it without my permission. I want to be able to control this quotation to only originate a Sales Order

Does it mean that you are an End User? If so, please discuss this issue with SD Consultant.

Even after restricting more than one document creation(each having different document type). If your colleague picks up your quotation for the first time and creates Contract/Order then how would you control this?
Copy control settings plus "Status profile" to release the document is something you may choose to avoid incorrect document creation.
Please correct if I am wrong.

Joao,
please check this wiki page: https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SD/Copy+Controls+within+SD
This is very simple to do, and you need to use the copy control to do it. In worst case, if your requirement needs a very special rule for copy, check the copy routines (in if you need, create a new one).
