Deduction of half day leave for a half working day

Dear All,

We will be having saturday as a half day. So anyone applying for a leave on saturday should be deducted as a half day leave. Please tell me how to go head configuring this.

Define a Variant with half day condition, assign to your workschedule (Time mgmnt) and generate workschedules. It will get reflected and your issue would get resolved.

I think i will explain what i have done already.I have created a new Daily Work Schedule which applies only to saturdays. In the periodic work schedule on the 6th col i have assigned the new DWS. and then i have generated the work schedules. But with this the leave is obviously have not got resolved. when we are applying for a leave on saturday. 1 day leave is getting deducted from the quota. So how do I make is half day leave deduction from the quota and not 1 full day deduction.

Please help. will creating varients help??? I have never worked with varients.

Do one thing

You can create a subrule for your counting rule, (tick mark the DWS class of saturday), fix the deduction percentage as 50%

Dont forget to to remove the tick mark of DWS of saturday from the current the current subrule of counting rule

Hello Anantha ,

Was going through the issue submitted by suchita.Wanted to ask you that apart from tick marking the DWS class for saturday shall we not have to tick mark in the various conditions fields like:

1)Weekday for "saturday"

2)Holiday class for "half day" that is holiday class 2

3)Day type"paid/time off"

4)Condition for absence/attendance < 1day

5)condition for planned hours>0

6)counting class for PWS...

shall the above 6 conditions should not be marked for our saturday half day scenario..

@Suchita Majumder  please let me know if ur issue got resolved that what all conditions u marked in counting rule...It would be great if u guide me though this question has been asked almost 4 years back....too old to ask but i guess sap can never be old.

Karthik,

I believe you have created seperate DWS for half day satuday..

Fo creating half day satuday DWS, you need to tick only saturday, rest all days will n all the fileds you have mentioned should be checked.

So now, if you take leave on saturday, system will count one leave day and hence one day quota will be deducted.

So to meet ur requiremnt that only Half day leave and have day quota should be deducted, you need to maintain quota multiplier with 50%
