Visual Composer Web Service issue

Hi all,

After having searched through SDN without success, this is the problem we are facing :

we are able to find web service, but when we try to test it, we always get the same error message "Portal Request failed, could not execute web service, consult your administrator".

Anyone, any idea ?

Hello Fabien,

I'm trying to apply the server status monitoring with the help of your blog titled "Viewing your Servers status with Visual Composer". I've tried testing the webservice using XMLSpy as an external tool and it works. But when I use Visual composer I test the webserivce and I get the error message ""Portal Request failed, could not execute web service, consult your administrator" - the same error you're getting.

What could be the reason? How did you resolve it?

Hi Ali,

I was having a problem with my specific webservice, so with a standard one I'm not able to tell you what to do...

Maybe have a look at the previous post !

HI Fabien,

delete the data service (i.e web service ) from the story broad

log off from VC

delete the browser cookies and temp files

login ito VC again

open the model and view

now go to options/tools menu

select compiler tab

set data service reterival = do not cache data service (get latest)

and place the data service from find data

and test the web service

if you are not getting the result

repeat the above procedure at least two to three times

Check the notes....

SAP Note 1236741 - This note show you how to configure the pre-requisites

SAP Notes 914377 - This note show you some limitations (like flat WS only)

There you will be able to configure your system to reach the webservices,

Problem solved, problem was coming form my web service....
