Hi all

An employee PF is deducted on basic.

If an employee worked for u201Cxu201D company up to mid of the month say up to15th date (ex: 10.01.2005 joining date and 15.04.2008 is leaving from the company)

And now he joined u201Cyu201D company on 16.04.2008 and has been working for that company up to 31.12.9999 (our sap hr terminology).

My question is employee has to pay PF in both companies in that particular month April?

Thanks & Regards

HI,

I am not sure what does PF act says. But logically speaking he has to pay PF in bothe the company for thost 15/16 days.

Even in SAP PF will get deducted during payroll run..

HI Venkat,

In SAP maintenance of IT587 will rule the calculation of PF. PF number maynot have any impact.

In First case since IT587 is upto 15, PF will prorate till 15th, and in secon case again it will prorate from 16th of the month.

With Regards

Shyam

Hi Venkat,

As per your scenario, if an emp quit from X to Y, then you will delimit the PF IT 0587 and the payroll wil run upto the end date. So that amt will get credit in the PF. Then if suppose that emp joins Y company obiviously there he will have another new PF a/c number.

Yes definetly employee has to pay PF for both the companies and there is no legal concept lke ESI min working days.

Pls be clear whether those two comapnies are in the same legal or different legal.
