Cannot open BPF Links. Error message "Error launching office client: Automation server.."

I am currently unable to open BPF web hyperlinks and receive the error message "Error launching office client: Automation server can't create object." Software set-up includes:

• Windows 10 - 64 bit
• Office 2016 - 32 bit
• EPM SP31, 32 bit
• SAP BPC 10.0 version for Microsoft
• IE 11

We are rolling out Office 2016 with SP31 to all of our F&A users in the next few weeks and this is currently the only unresolved issue. Your help is appreciated.

Hello,

Please make sure of the following :

-If you are running on Office 64 bits then Open BPC Web from IE 64 bits

-If you are running on Office 32 bits then open BPC Web from IE 32 bits

Hello Milton,

Can you test going to Internet Options > Advanced tab > and Reset Internet Explorer Settings? Then try opening a BPF hyperlink.

You can also test adding the BPC URL to Local Sites/Trusted Sites in IE Options > Security and try opening IE with the option to "Run as Administrator"
