Mass delete dependent characteristic for PP routing

Dear Expert,

is there any std SAP tcode that can perform mass delete dependent characteristic for routing. I try to use CEWB but found out the dependent value is blank, but at CA03 got value. Kindly advice. TQ

Hi Mohamed,

Do you want to perform mass Change/ Delete/ Create of Routing in CA03 Transaction Code. You can go for BDC Recordings to do the same.

Thanks for your respond.Yes, we want to perform delete dependent characteristic in Routing screen with huge volume of data. is there any tcode that we can perform this action before we go for BDC recordings or lsmw program.

Hi Mohamed,

I have small clarification, so you wanted to delete the Operation/ Activity Number along with that particular line item, right, as shown below;

For Deletion also we are supposed to go for BDC Recordings. I don't think so there is a T-Code to perform the same.

(Note: In a single program we are supposed to have two recordings, one for Deletion and another for Change or Create recordings)

Hi Mohamed,

I have tested your requirement and attached the screen-shots for your reference.

Initial steps as follows:

Enter the T-Code : CA02

Enter the Material Number and Plant

Click on Enter

Select the Line Item and click on Inspection Characteristics

then, followed by click on Select All button as shown below:

Then just click on Delete All as shown below:

Just do the BDC Recording to Delete the Inspection Characteristics.

(Note: Logic is click on SELECT ALL then followed by DELETE ALL then finally SAVE in BDC RECORDINGS)

Thanks for your reply. ya. we aware to manual delete like as per your advice. if like no tcode exist, we will create customized program to mass delete the dependent characteristic.

Ok, But actually that was to do BDC Recording program procedure to do mass deletion of the inspection characteristics.

Thanks for your respond. This is regarding tcode CA03, inside this tcode got Characteristic overview screen and dependent characteristic. We would like to delete all the master inspection characteristic maintained inside dependent characteristic screen. As the volume is huge, we would like to seek is there any tcode that we can use to perform mass delete for these dependent characteristic. TQ

Maybe trying with CWBQM (QM: Engineering Workbench) could be successful, instead of CEWB.
