Meta Funtion Modules?

Hello Folks,

What is the use of specific usuages of META function modules ? For eg META_PO_GETDETAILs since we have BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAILS ? . is it communcate with other system like that any?

Hi Muthu,

In SRM, the Integration u2013 Abstraction Layer uses three main components namely Dispatcher, Driver & Spoolers. Most of the "META" are Dispatcher function module whose primary task is to analyse the Customizing setting (Define Backend System - System Type) and to determine the driver function modules based on Backend System, System Type & Version of the system.

The Complete list of driver function modules can be found in the table BBP_FUNCTION_MAP.
