How to Use Report Writer to get P&L by PCand CC wise

Hi All,

I am an Abap Consultant and I Need a Report which displays Profit and Loss by Profit Center Wise and Cost Center Wise.For this I am Using Report Painter.(GRR1).and Library 8a3.

When I am Inserting Element in first rows as PC and CC,and Columns like ledger , etc.

i am getting this Erros : 1.Characteristic Record Type does not exist

2.Characteristic Version does not exist

I am not able to understand report writer how to use it .. i have help file for this ,but not working for me.if anybody have sceen shots to use this pls tell me ..

How can i Get P&L by Profit Center wise n Cost Center wise By Using this Report Writer?
