SPL help Please!!

Hi ,

Can anybody please walk me through with how SPL data is uploaded in GTS? I know there are data providers who give SPL in an XML file. What config is required for this XML data to come into GTS, please let me know the procedure or is no config required?

I would recommend you start by uploading the SPL data manually into GTS. You can do this by using transaction /SAPSLL/SPL_UL01 and uploading directly from your desktop (Frontend). There is some setup involved before you can upload this data. For example, you must define the data provider as a business partner and make sure the SPL legal regulation is setup for 'Prohibitions and Restrictions' in the config. When you define the data provider in GTS you will want to use business partner role SLLDAP when you create it. Many companies are using MK Data's SPL files (http://www.mkdenial.com). This makes it easier because they already have SAP XML master and delta files that are in the structure GTS needs them in. Before you can upload them into GTS you will want to configure all of the list types that are included in these XML files. After you perform the upload and before screening any business partners make sure you go through the process of generating the comparison terms, aggregating the comparison terms, and generating the comparison terms for business partners.
