Condition - remove formula results = 0 Not working

Hi all,

I am reconciling data records in two different systems into our BI system. Ideally the records in both systems should be exactly the same so I should be seeing two of each record in my ODS. I am adding two fields to each record, the source system, and a counter field. This is how I will keep track of each record and differentiate them. The counter field is a constant = 1 which acts more like a flag to denote that the record exists in the source system it came from.

In the report I have 3 fields in the header. "Source system A", "Source system B" and the "Difference". For Source system A, there is a "1" under that field if that record exists in that system and the same for system B.

Difference is a formula that calculates Source system A - Source system B. Ideally we want to see 0 under the Difference field. I now want to add a condition to ignore all of the records where the difference = 0 and only display records where the difference equals 1 or -1... indicating a difference between the two source systems.

However when I create the condition "Difference" "Not equal to" "0", it removes all of the records in the report, even the ones where difference = -1 or 1. I've tried other conditions where "Difference" "Not equal to" "1" or "-1" but these also display no records.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I have exactly same scenario and very much same report. I too have created condition but what I did is - while defining condition, I selected radio button which said "Single characteristic or combination of characteristic" and selected only key characteristics from my record. You too can try.. this should work.
