Hello,

We have one requirement in MRP. We have four plants in same location say example(Mumbai).

And the plants named as

P1- S1

P2- S1

P3- S1

P4 - S1

The requirement will be put on the single plant P1.My question is that is it possible to consider all plants stock when we run mrp for P1.

Regards,

Ganesh

Dear,

If you have activated MRP with MRP areas, you can also combine MRP areas in the scope of planning as an alternative to plants.

With the help of the scope of planning, you can control whether the total planning run is to be carried out:

For several plants MDBT

Or,

Special procurement from aternate plant can be configured in may ways

Stock transfer from plant to plant or from plant

Production in alternative plant

Withdrawal from alternative plant

In the last options you can see that no stock is maintained and can be directly withdrawn from production plant...so that your requirement of stock consideration can be met.

Hello,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Please give me the steps to be followed for mrp area.

Also if I am selecting the withdrawal from alternative plant in that there is the possibility of considering all the three plants? In one shoot?

Hello,

Thanks for your prompt reply. The link MRP area is very useful. But in the given example it is cleary says.

*Example: Plant 3200 / Sloc 50 and Plant 3200 / sloc 51 in one MRP Area

This is done in Configuration.*

But my requirement is Plant P1 / S1 and plant P2 / S1. So please guide me how to map this requirement.

As you said earlier can you explain the 2 point in detail please.

Ganesh

Dear,

MRP for one Finished Product will not consider the stock on other Plant.

With Scope of Plan you can run MRP for Multiple Plants.

This kind of collaborative Planning is available in APO only

If you want to do planning for Multiple Plants then proceed as follows:

1. T. Code : OM0E

2. Planning Scope : Put 4 digit (Alphabets/numeric) & Description

3. Double click on Sequence of plants (Left Side)

4. Put your Plants as per sequence (As per priority wise)

i.e System will plan for Plants in this sequence only.

5. Use this Scope of planning in MD01 or MDBT as required.

Planning file entries created via stock transfer are automatically taken into account in the planning run.

This ensures that a material is also correctly planned in all plants affected even in the case of

stock transfer processing.

Hope it will help you.

Hello all,

The above said requirement cannot be fullfilled.

see the message from SAP

Thank you for contacting SAP.

It is not possible within standard functionality to consider stock from other plants in the net requirements calculation within materials planning at a given plant. To the best of my knowledge, however, such functionality is provided within Supply Network Planning (SNP) in the APO system.
