committment in maintenance order

Dear experts,

In my maintenance order i am using some materials which are physically not available (confirmed through MMBE) but these items are still get committed while doing the availability check. anyhow it is not allowing me to issue through MIGO as it gives error while doing that.

Please explain me how can I stop the system to committ the material when there is no physical stock available.It should committ only the actual materials available. In the scope for availability i have checked the box for consider all reservations and dependent reservations.

Please do the needful.

Hi Praveen ,

Please check whether negative stocks are allowed for unrestricted-use stockin the valuation area.

hi

in MMBE execute your search and just scroll to right,you will find some stocks for the material .

in IMG you have to make the settings for all the checking group availability (01,02,CH,DR),because in material master MM person can specify different availability check .

Here in my client they have maitained only availability rule 01, Daily requirement and not mainatained for ind.requirement & for batch requirement.In their material master they have maitained availability rule is 01. In maintenance order is concerned, is this setting is ok? is there any problem it creats during material availability checking?Please clarify my doubt.

hi

since your client has created only 01 availability then it is enough to maintain the scope of check .there will not be any problem for availability check in maintenance order

Thanks a lot..even i found my extraa committing material in safety stock, now i removed the check box of safety stock

hi

without material availability system will not confirm the material ,kindly check in MMBE whether material is in some other stock (like order on hand) .kindly check it .

Also check the IMG settings for inspection and availability control

yes, I too agree with you. I checked for pending PO's, production orders, inspection, blocked stock etc where else i can check? In availability control we are using 01,02,ch . Is it really required to maintain all the controls? then which one to maintain in material master MRP3 view. Please explain me in brief.
