Printing purchase order 'in release' !

Hello,

we need to add a second printing document for purchase order. I think it's possible with a new message. But i've read that message works only if the purchase order is not 'in realease'.

Is it possible to print purchase order document when the purchase is 'in release' ?

Thank's

Hi,

Go to T-Code ME22N, then goto Meessages Tab and add an Output device NEU (Purchase order), Medium as 1 Printout. Then select the line item and go to Communication method in the header details and add Logical destination (put LOCL for local printer) and check print immediately and release after output. Then go back and save the PO. Printout will come automatically. Try with solution, still any issue persist revert back.

hi,

AS per my knowledge it shd be possible after full release only...because then only it make sense of the printing and sending to the vendor...

If it would be possible before or within release only, and if the changes are made in between while the release by any officer, then it'll not get reflected....

Thank's for your reply.

This document is not printing to send to the vendor but it will be use by people who need to validate the purchase order but prefer to see all data on paper before validating.

beside of printing the document, why the verificator just display the message using me23n or me2n, no need to output it . but if they insist to print out , you can try to tick "released" in the release indicator setting for all the release indicator that u used, so no matter its already final release or in released, the PO document can be print out.

Hi,

The end users should change the way they are working when using SAP system as it does not make sense to have PO verified in paper and then release it in SAP. Why weren't they viewing POs on line? Besides, if the configuration is activated to print out the PO, then how can you protect such PO from being sent out to your vendor?

Cheers,

You can take print in release also. Only the print in that case will give information that this po is not released.
