No maintenance cycle is open for the current system

Hi All,

In my charm cycle we are getting the error " No maintenance cycle is open for the current system".

From the change request I selected the authorize change request.It is generating the next document but giving an error message No maintenance cycle is open for the current system or No link to maintainence cycle.

Earlier it is working fine.recenly it is giving this error message.

The maintainence cycle is in the phase development with release.

Can we change the status of the maintainence cycle?. When I click the status, in the drop down menu only lock and complete are available. Have can we make the maintainence cycle active?

Please shed any light on thi isssue.

Hi,

Check the phase of the maintenance cycle in SCMA.

If the maintenance cycle is not active you can activate the same under maintenance cycles tab using transaction /TMWFLOW/MAINTINST

If the existing maintenance cycle is Completed, you need to create a new maintenance cycle for the project.

This will solve your problem.

The maintenance cycle has phase development with release.

/TMWFLOW/MAINTINST, under maintenance cycle , under status tab, the status shown is active.

How can we know that maintenance cycle is completed or not?. also how can we create a new maintenance cycle?.

In scma when I click status button , a prompt with header set urgent corrections status

with lock and complete. I guess we should not select complete option as it will complete the cycle.

Do you have any other tips?

Hi,

Check the IBase in your Document. The IBase should be part of your System Landscape defined in your Project.

This will solve your problem.

How to check the IBASE in document? and how can this solve the issue?. Can you please be more elaborate as I am new to charm.

Hi,

Document I mean the Change Request. You can see a field for IBase when you open the Change Request.

The field would be just below the Change Advisory Board Field. Select an IBase, which is involved in the project, system landscape. Once you select correct IBase and save it, the problem should be solved.

Go to SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN --> click display --> under System Landscape TAB you should be seeing the systems.

Moreover, if you are atleast aware of your System IDS (DEV,QAS and PRD). And if you have tried to make an entry by pressing F4 in IBASE field. you could have solved this problem.

Under System Landscape TAB , under systems tab, there is no option to enter the IBASE. I am using solman 4 with sp level 14. Is there any alternative to find IBASE or am I missing anything?.

I didn't reply that you have to enter IBASE under System Landscape TAB. You can come to know what are the systems used in for the project and enter the same in IBASE (In your change request). Please go through all my replies from beginning to get a clear picture again.

Hi Ragu,

I am Kiran.On behalf of Sahad I am asking about the same issue.

In our scenario external ID for IBASE is showing as SOL_MAN_DATA_REP ,

IBASE cat.as 01 and Installed base is 1.The same details are showing in each change request also.

Under system landscape tab, the logical component is confgured with DEV,QUA & PROD systems.

Please give a better idea about IBASE

Hi,

Let me know the IBASE that you see in Change Request. The field name would be IBASE / Component.

Also let me know the IBASE of DEV,QUA and PRD.

In the role that you have assigned for the chang manager check that the following object is in S_PROJ_GEN with the Project name being the name of your project and Project Management Authorization CTPR, TLCF, TLCR
