How to debug Personas scripts in Windows GUI?

I have a Personas 3.0 SP6 script working correctly in the WebGUI but when I run it in the Windows GUI (7.50 Patch 5) it isn't working. I understand that there are some restrictions with Scripting in the Windows GUI (note 2080071) but I don't think this script has anything that is restricted in it.

My question however is this... is there an way to debug scripting in the Windows GUI or to see why my script isn't working? It's all a bit of a black box to me currently!

Thanks in advance,
Simon

Hi Simon,

I believe this is more related to SAPGUI for Windows rather than Personas.

I don't know that area a lot, but you probably need to enable the SAPGUI traces (in the SAP GUI Options, you can find a "Traces" folder, with a lot of option). There is also another folder, "Accessibility & Scripting", where (maybe) selecting "Show native Microsoft Windows dialogs" can bring some additional information.

If you are still unable to find what you are looking for, then I would suggest to raise an incident under BC-FES-GUI, explaining that the script works via web browser.

Kind regards,

Cris

Thanks Cris,

I will dig in a bit into those areas and see what I can find.

Cheers,
Simon
