Transport management Procedure in EP??

Hello All,

I need to preapre one document for the Transport strategy for SAP EP 7.0.Can anyone please help me with any link or document.We are having the stand alone java for EP 7.0.I need to know how the transport changes take place in EP?

Hi,

You can do in many ways like

1. You have to configure NWDI then define tracks and then trasport.

2.You can use Extended CTS+ functionalities.

3.You can directly perform the export and import by just creating a transport package in the portal

export this package, then import the package in the target system.

Thanks Vamshi..we already have a NWDI system..So how to define tracks & do the transport in EP??But one thing I am not getting for the transport in EP why we need to configure NWDI??

Hi,

If you want to transport iviews,pages,roles then you can directly create a folder for transport and export these content objects. Then you can import in the target system. If you want to create any dynpro applications and use NWDS then you need to have NWDI configured.
