Is it possible to install ECC 5.0 + portal application in a laptop with 3GB or 4 GB ram for practise.

you stated regarding RAM .what about the space in harddisk is it
above 400 gb?.what are the components you want to install ..try
to have a look on general prerequisites.

thanks, I want to download practise system (IDES) in my laptop.I have no idea how much space do I need for that, Pls guide me where and how I can install in my laptop..
Go to http://service.sap.com/ides
and read in left under "Customers & Partners" if you have acess in requred information...
