Depreciation keys change to the same in both depreciation areas in AS01

Hi

My Chart of depreciation is India version. I have two depreciation areas - book depreciation as well as tax depreciation area.

I have defined two depreciation keys with different rates for these depreciation areas (say COM1 - 10% - for book depreciation & COM2-20% for tax depreciation). I have assigned these keys in the asset class 'Computer & accessories'.

My problem is while creating an asset master through AS01, the depreciation keys are displaying correctly against the depreciation areas i.e. COM1 & COM2. But when I save the asset master, the depreciation key for the tax depreciation area changes to that of the Book Depreciation area. i.e. the depreciation keys become COM1 in both areas.

What is wrong with me or how can I resolve this ?

Regards

I can't answer what is wrong with u .. but can definitely advise on how to resolve your deprec key issue

Check if you have any substitution rule in place for ur deprec key COM1.. or if you have set any default values for deprec area book and tax.

Hi

Thanks for the mail. I do not have activated any substitution nor I have a default value for the depreciation area.

Hi

Check default values of asset class at OAYZ for both depreciation areas. Also check OABD and OABC

Thanks. As you said, tick was found in the transfer terms for depreciation area for the tax depreciation and the identical check was ticked. I have changed it and the issue is resolved.
