Tables of COPA datasources

Hi guys,

Just wanted to validate something. We usually create COPA datasources (like 1_CO_PA_ABCD where ABCD is the operating concern) using tcode KEB0 right? Do you guys know the tables where that COPA datasource get its data? Is it in CE1ABCD table only or there are other tables involved? If it is the former, what will be the difference if I will just create a generic datasource in RSO2 using the table CE1ABCD with HZDAT (date on which record was created) as my DELTA FIELD?

Thank you.

Loed

hi,

think data is extracted from more than 1 table:

CE1XXXX – Actual line items

CE2XXXX – Plan line items

CE3XXXX – Summary table

CE4XXXX – Segment table

you need to check the online doc for copa datasource. if i remember well it's quite elaborate.

Hi Loed,

But COPA has timestamp enabled delta with ADD INFOCUBE delta behaviour so releavent change in document after creation adds up as additive image , And to my understanding it all ends up on accounting Document ,

A document created yesterday may get extracted. But Changed/Cleared after few days might get us in trouble in this case. as if it get extracted the value on in BW i am unaware of (May be a CO person can give insight)

Therefor last change in document may be accurate to work with with Additive image.

Thanks

So I think it is still better to use the standard way of creating COPA datasources rather than creating a generic datasource based on its table?

Thanks a lot for the insights, I might use the standard way.
