Datamart behaving aberrantly

We have a situation in production where the data gets loaded to first level DSO YCPSABC and then delta from DSO to Cube YCPSTEST. This is a daily load.

Now while loading from DSO to Cube as delta it failed and the datamart symbol wasn't generated in the DSO manage. We, as a regular process, made the QM status red, deleted the failed request from the Cube and took a repeat. When we took a repeat the previous datamart, i.e. previous days' request was also picked up as system identified that as last successful delta and since repeat was a repeat of last delta the previous day's request also got picked resulting in duplication.

Now quite often when this load from DSO to Cube failed, we observed that datamart symbol was generated and in such cases we made the QM status red, deleted the failed request from the Cube and took a repeat without touching the datamart symbol in the DSO. The repeat went fine picking correct number of records.

I want to know the Datamart behavior and also why does the repeat took the previous request?

    Hi

Usually if the extraction fails then the Delta pointer doent get resetted by default,

so there is no need to change the QM status to Red.

May be this could have been the reason why the last successfuly detla was picked again.
