PM/PS Integration with SRM/CCM Catalog

Hi,

Today we have EBP 3.0 with Requisite BugsEye & eMerge Catalog (Classic scenario). We will implement the SRM 5.0 with CCM Catalog (Classic scenario).

In our scenario today, we have a development that allows us to access the catalog (Requisite BugsEye & eMerge Catalog) directly from PS and PM (R/3 System). For example, the user is creating a maintenance order, so he clicks in a button, it logs in EBP, chooses what he wants in the catalog and so, the document is saved only in R/3 system. He uses this functionality to choose, for example, from the catalog, a material in an item contract and so, the purchase order can be automatically created in R/3 system. Does it scenario exist in SRM 5.0? I read about Plan Driven Scenario but I understand that in this case, you must have documents created in SRM too, is it right? We only need an integration of PM/PS with SRM and CCM Catalog. Is it possible with MDM Catalog?

Thanks and best regards.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way to set up by org or user in ECC. I am very familiar with ppoma in SRM, but this functinality does not exist within ECC for catalogs. With that said, I do know someone that has done a custom table in ECC and then added a new pop up on the transaction.

It would be good to get more information on what you are wanting to do. While it depends on the realize you are on, SAP supports Catalog punch-out directly from ECC for PM, PS, CS, and even some from MM. So, you do not need SRM or EBP at all to support the business requirement you described. You only need a catalog. This can be any catalog (e.g., Requisite, MDM, CCM, supplier hosted) that is Open Catalog Interface (OCI) complient.

I would strong suggest just using a catalog to support this requirement and not logging the user directly into SRM itself.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your help. I am implementing MDM-catalog direct from ECC (using PM and PS). Using SRM, I can control the catalog access depending on the user organization Unit (from PPMOMA). The user can only access the catalogs from his organizational unit. In the ECC, Can I have some similar? I saw in ECC that I can control the access by network type/plant or order type/plant but I have to control by a group of users or profile...

Thanks and best regards.

Hi,

I think you need to enhance some program or find a BADI.

In standard, only default catalog is called.

BADI Search result by name catalog:

/SAPDII/CNTL_CATALOG

ICL_CATALOGS

ME_CATALOG_INTERFACE

PLM_CATALOG_IF

For MM:

FM: MMPUROCI_CALL

A very much similar business scenario is available in SRM also.

The requestor starts a requisition (shopping cart) in SRM

to choose the product he calls catalog data from SRM.

The catalog tool can be CCM or MDM catalog

the catalog product is filled up in SRM SC.

If the ECC contract is available for this product

then PO can be directly created in ECC aftter SC approval

( the technical deployment assumed is CLASSIC)
