Hi All,
I have a doubt on Technical Content cubes.
My requirement is that we need to develop Report on Technical content Cubes .
we manually enter the master data for Infobjects in BI to validate data in SEM-BCS.
So We need to capture the Masterdata changes done at infobject leveland report as LastChanged by in the report based on Masterdata lastchanged manually.
we hvae stanadard Technical content Reports whcih are only capturing the Infobject changes based on properties(object version).
can you please guide me in this regard as this is very high imp.
From my side inputs are Can we add (0CHANGED_BY) INTO attributes of 0TCTIOBJ to capture the data records changed ?
thanks

Hi Siggi,

Hi Arun,
Waht u say is right but any idea to capture manual changes of the masterdata Infobject .
Because even though we capture the lastchanged user it will be owerwritten by the recent upload of the Masterdata uplaod thru process chain and updated with user who scheduled the chain .
So the req will not work i guess?
any ideas from ur side.
Thanks

you want to find out the last time master data was updated for the infoobject..?
quite tricky - I am not sure if there is a table which will give you this - instead you can directly find out the last updated date / time for a P Table / Q Table / X Table etc from the DDIC if the log is enabled for the same..... also this info is available only if detailed logginf in the DB side of things is enabled - but usually this is turned off because the size of the archive logs becomes unmanageable.....

Venkat,
You can add fields to the technicaql content but then this would also involve changes to the datasources etc...
If you have all the needful ready with you you can change technical content... you need to be carefuk when upgrading technical content - else create a copy of the same and enhance that instead....
