Hi all,

I would like to know if it was possible to solve this problem of logout.

I must have the IW29 transaction always open and it logged me out automatically after certain time.

I read something about it but unfortunately i do not have the authorization for RZ11 instance to change my parameter account

I am very beginner to sap basis. so please guide me by step by step if it possible.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I am getting SAP Object error alert.
I know restarting the excel could relief this issue, somehow, but it happens almost every hour, I cannot always stop working and restart all the file everytime.

Hi there,

You have a question and need help by the community? Instead of posting into an old question thread, it is more helpful for you, if you create your own question. Here is how to get started:

  1. Learn about asking and answering questions in SAP Community with this tutorial: https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/community-qa.html
  2. Ask your detailed question here: https://answers.sap.com/questions/ask.html
  3. Wait for a response.

That's it. Thank you!

Best regards

Hi Jacopo,

GUI auto logout timing (aka idle timeout) is controlled by your system administrator, and is typically configured according to your organization's policy. If you feel the idle timeout is too quick, this is something you will need to discuss with your system administrator. As a system administrator myself, however, I can tell you that you will need to have a very good reason, more than just "I need this transaction always open" to justify a change, especially as the change is global and not related to a single user or terminal. In other words, you'll probably need to have more users than just yourself agreeing that a longer timeout is required.

On another note, I updated the tag of your question, as this is more properly related to "UI SAP GUI for Windows." The "logging of SAP GUI" tag is about another product for logging activity in SAP GUI, not for the SAP GUI itself.

Cheers,
Matt
