NWDI Question :- Any reply/help is much appreciated.

We have installed DI usage type and XI on same server.

When we install DI, following DI components are installed on SDM at two locations

1)SDM -->> CONFIG_DB

2)SDM -->>>SapJ2EEEngine

In SDM -->> CONFIG_DB following DI components are installed

tc.CBS.DBDefs

tc/dtr/dbschema

tc/SL/CMS/PCS/DBSchema

In SDM -->>>SapJ2EEEngine following DI components are installed

tc.CBS.API

tc.CBS.CommonPart

tc.CBS.Service

tc.CBS.WebUI

tc/dtr/enterpriseapp

tc/SL/CMS/TCSEar

tc/SL/CMS/tsawebui

tc/SL/CMS/PCS

tc_SL_SDM_Util

tc_SL_SDM_Client

tc/SL/diindex

tc/SL/CMS/WebUI

We can NOT undeploy DI compoents from SDM -->> CONFIG_DB.

We CAN undeploy DI compoents from SDM -->> SapJ2EEEngine.

So, if we want to undeploy NWDI from XI system,

shall we undeploy DI components from SDM -->>>SapJ2EEEngine ?

If I undeploy DI components from SDM -->>>SapJ2EEEngine, does it mean DI is uninstalled?

Is there any "force" mode to undeploy DI components from SDM -->> CONFIG_DB?

Solved the problem ourselves. We did undeploy DI (NWDI) ourselves.

When I chose to undeploy components from SDM -->>>SapJ2EEEngine in SDM, all the NWDI components get undeployed ( including components from SDM -->> CONFIG_DB ) itself. No extra steps were required to undeploy NWDI from SDM -->> CONFIG_DB.

In SDM when we chose "tc.CBS.API" from SDM -->>>SapJ2EEEngin, it did pick up all the "reference components" from for DI .

We were able upgrade XI from 3.0 to 7.1 without any problem. As our DI was installed on same server were XI 3.0 system is installed and as per SAP note we can not upgrade XI from 3.0 to 7.1 if DI usage type is installed on same server as that of XI.

Hi Sandeep,

I tried accordingly what you mentioned to remove the CBS.API, but even though the DI is not yet removed completed.

I have EP 7 SP09 and deployed DI_CBD, DTR with SP14 and CMS with 10.

Now I want to undeploy it and go with SP09 of DI ( all the 3 components). I have selected all the components ( cross checked one by one from SDM and selected and removed). But after starting JSPM, it does not read the files SP09 of DI which i have copied in /EPS/in folder. Then checked in JSPM-> Deployed Components I still see all the 3 components.

sap.com/tc/dtr/dbschema.

All these comes under CONFIG_DB in sdm and could be removed and so I think the SP09 is not read,because already the higher version is present.

Do you know how to get rid of it?
