So, we've installed the ADT in Eclipse (Neon) and were all exited about creating our first couple of CDS-views.

Alas, we've stumbled upon the error below:

Does any of you have an idea what the cause of the problem may be?

This ia known issue which was fixed with the new version of ADT.

Please check KBA 2402426 for the link of the Update Site and update to the NEWEST version of ADT.

Thanks Patrik. It turns out that the issue was related to the combination of a 64bit Eclipse in combination with a 32bit Java SDK. As we've not done either installation ourselves, it took us some time to discover it.

Anyway, the installation of a 32bit Eclipse solved the issue, and the fist CDS basic & composite views have been created already.
