CRM2007 vs CRM5.2



I just wanted to know if there is any functionality that works in CRM2007 and doesnt in CRM5.2 or vice versa. Reason i am asking is because i was working on action profiles in CRM5.2 and triggered a workflow using that and it worked. When i tried replicating the same process in CRM2007, it doesnt work at all. Just workflow gets triggered but start condition is failed, i am not recognixed as possible agent and so on. Any reason why this is so?
