BARCODE Printing for Handling Unit through SSCC-18 digit

Dear All,

The USSCC-18 digit code is generated for each delivery with the following logic:

 00- fixed first 2 digits(Application Identifier)

 x u2013 Extension digit (Fixed-In general it refers to Packaging Type)

 xxxxxxx- Fixed 7 digits s for UCC/EAN Company Prefix: The EAN/UPC Company Prefix identifies the shipping company. It is assigned by the UCC or EAN to a member company

 xxxxxxxxx( 9 digits( for Serial Reference Number: The Serial Reference Number is assigned by the member company to identify an individual shipping container

 0- Fixed last rounding digit

This 18 digit Barcode no. is the no. of HU.(External HU Identification)

As per my knowledge the Serial No. comes from the Number range for HU.

My requirement is that in place of serial no.(123456-1st 6 digits) we want to print the last 6 digits of Delivery No. of the HU.

I have 3 questions:

1. What is this 9 digits Serial No?

2. Where & how it is stored in SAP?

3. At time of Printing the Barcode how the 9 digits serial no is fetched from system?

Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Pankaj
