Macro error in analyzer

Former Member

Hi All,

When i create any button and assign some command like save_area in analyzer design mode, it is giving the below error when i click on this button upon execution.

"Cannot run the macro 'DesignIconClicked'. The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled"

I am using Excel 2007, and in macro settings,

i set "Enable all macros" and "Trust access to the VBA project object model".

How to fix this. This error is coming for dropdown boxes as well.

Thanks

Bindu

Hi Bindu,

There has been lot of instances where consultants are facing the problem wrt Excel 2007.

Just check with Excel 2003 ; Before that what security level have you put your Workbook in ???

Below links may be helpful to you.

After opening excel 2007, on top of the screen, you will find one down facing arrow for "customize quick access toolbar". Click on that and click on more commands. It opens one more window for excel options. Click on Add Ins on the left side of that window. On the right side, it shows all the add ins in your excel. At the bottom, you have a drop down box for manage. Click on that drop down and select disabled items and click on go. Select the "DesignIconClicked" and click on Enable.

It is working normally on systems with excel 2003.

There are no disabled items in the Add-ins.

Any other way to solve this issue rather than uninstalling 2007 and installing 2003?

When you open the list of the add ins, do you have that available in your list. If its not there, then it needs to be installed. If its available in the inactive add ins, try to import it in your add ins folder.

Please award points if helpful.
