Staus of node in Bex

Folks,

I have a Bex query, which uses a Structure in Row. I want to expand the row structure by one of the characteristics (which is part of the restriction I have in Row selection with Hierarchy). There seems to be a provision in BI7 for this, but I'm unable to make it work.

In Bex Query designer, under Properties I can see a Tab by name "Status of Node" and all that it offers is "Not Expandable", I'm looking for an option to be "_Expandable_".

Any clue how to make it work. Appreciate any related info on this.

Hi Ravi

Status of node can only be expandable if there is any other node below it. So I guess you can add one more selection (just the same as your selection you want to expand). Add the new selection under the previous node (one level inner). Then you will be able to expand.

Hope it gives an idea. I don't know if it will work the way you want but just give it a try...

I think you have to put the characteristic in the rows. Only with a struture (selection/formule) it will not work.

I am in a similar situation looking for an option to make it "_Expandable_". Can you please share how you went about fixing this issue? We are on BW 7.3 and BEx on 7.20 SP 8 and Revision 689.
