Error in WIP calculation.

Hi PP Gurus,

We are facing error while doing WIP calculation. I'm here REM and without RP, REM standard REM profile 0002. While accessing WIP calculation through Transaction code KKAO and accessing for a particular period and financial year through PCC selection radio button.

As per my information REM without REM is not applicable for WIP.

We are getting errors:

No reporting point found that suits the selection (Message no. RM208)

Cannot calculate work in process at target costs (Message no. KV191)

No WIP at target costs could be calculated (Message no. KJ276)

Please give your valuable inputs.

Dear,

In REM WIP has to be calculated for the cost collector, cost collectors can individually be processed by KKAS and collectively by KKAO select the option with product cost collector only.

You must have Reporting Point to have WIP.

You can give reporting Reporting Points in Routing / Rate routing will Mile stone confirmation at that point

To check WIP - transaction code is MF26

Thanks for input.

I already mentioned I'm not using RP through REM profile (0002) or master data (Rate Routing) still WIP wanted by CO module. While doing KKAS or KKAO we are getting errors mentioned in last mail. Is there any other way to come out of this problem.

Over head calculation - (Co42)

Variance calculation (KKS6)

And check your result.

Thanks for all valuable inputs.

Actually as per best practices for REM MTS/MTO without RP there is no need of WIP calculation. The steps to be followed for period end activities in this case includes :

1. Run overhead for the Product Cost Collector (CO42)

2. Variance calculation for the Product Cost Collector (KKS6)

3. Settlement of the Product Cost Collector (KK87)

There is no need to calculate ans capture WIP.
