question on fm WR26_FILL_ERROR_TABLE

Hi,

Can any one please explain me the purpose of this function module WR26_FILL_ERROR_TABLE, there is no documentation or there is no much info in google, as far as I understood this is used to read the message of a message class based on message name and message no is that correct. please suggest.
